In a summary statement of deficiencies dated 01/19/2013, a complaint investigation was opened after an observation that the facility “failed to prevent the development of facility-acquired pressure ulcers and failed to implement individualized interventions to attempt to stabilize or remove underlying risk factors to promote healing for [two residents] reviewed for pressure ulcers.” This is in response to two patients experiencing the progression of their existing pressure ulcers to serious life-threatening levels.
