Attorneys for Patients Mistreated at Generations at Rock Island
When family members place a loved one in a nursing facility, they never expect that they will be treated with anything other than dignity, respect, and kindness. Unfortunately, many nursing home residents are subjected to physical assault, mental anguish, and sexual assault. Sadly, the Rock Island elder abuse attorneys at Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers LLC have represented many victims of sexual abuse while residing in nursing facilities throughout Illinois.
Nursing home victims of sexual assault often have difficulty in communicating what is going on and who the perpetrator of the event was that caused them so much harm. Other times, residents with specific mental challenges including dementia have a difficult time in not only understanding the event but remembering what happened at all. In many cases, the victim is intimidated by the alleged abuser. However, without appropriate measures, the perpetrator can easily repeat the sexual assault knowing that the victim will never speak up.
