Neglect, abuse and lack of concern at nursing facilities can cause sickness, injuries or death to the residents in nursing homes. Neglect is often overlooked by staff members, supervisors and administrators who tend to look the other way. Without quick intervention, usually through a family member or an attorney, the elderly, ill, disabled or rehabilitating resident can develop life-threatening infections, bedsores or injuries. This is often the direct result of a lack of caregiving training, minimal staffing or other serious issues occurring inside in the nursing home.
Our team of nursing home abuse case attorneys understands the heart-wrenching decisions that must be made when family members place a loved one in the care of others. Because of that, we post publicly available information involving nursing homes, assisted living centers and rehabilitation facilities throughout Illinois. This information allows families to make the best informed decision possible to ensure that their loved one is not injured or harmed while under the care of doctors, registered nurses, certified nursing assistance and nursing aides.
