- Failure to Provide Adequate Nursing Staff around the Clock:
In a summary statement of deficiencies dated 03/05/2015, an investigation of complaints was opened noting insufficient 24 hour nursing staff to accommodate resident care plans. The report documents that the “facility failed to have sufficient nursing staff to provide nursing care to residents as needed.” This report is based on a survey of five out of six residents at the facility.
In an incident occurring on 2/21/15, a resident “was sitting in her room with the call light on visible from the hallway.” The resident said “that the call light has been on for more than 10 minutes, she has had to go to the bathroom for so long that she ‘peed on herself.’ “
In another incident occurring on 2/21/15, a resident said “that there is always an excuse why they do not have enough help.” The resident claims “the breakfast meal was ice cold because no one was there to serve it.”
